In 2022, the WSA Film Music Days take place in Ghent from 20 until 22 October. In line with Film Fest Gent's focus on South Korean cinema, the film music concert celebrates South Korean composers. At the World Soundtrack Awards, American composer Mark Isham is the guest of honour.

On 20 October, the WSA Film Music Days celebrate film music from South Korea with the concert Korean Composers which takes place at the oldest concert hall in the world: Music Centre De Bijloke. The Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by maestro Dirk Brossé, performs scores by talents such as Cho Young-wuk, Lee Byeong-woo and Jung Jae-il. The latter is featured on Film Fest Gent's official festival poster.

For three days, the WSA Film Music Days offer a programme of talks and masterclasses about hot topics in the film music industry. Legendary composer Mark Isham talks about his career in an extensive Composer's Talk. Director David Lowery and composer Daniel Hart sit down to discuss their ongoing collaboration in a Creative Partnership Talk. Panel discussions enlighten the attendees with conversations about buyouts, budgets and the visibility of female composers.

On 22 October 2022, the World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert celebrates the love for film music. Maestro Dirk Brossé and the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra perform scores of this year’s guest of honour Mark Isham, Nainita Desai (Discovery of the Year 2021) and the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Bruno Coulais.
