WSA 2021

On 23 October, the World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert takes place at Opera Ghent. A night to remember, honouring film music performed by the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé. Max Richter is this year’s guest of honour, Eleni Karaindrou is awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Discovery of the Year 2020 Bryce Dessner returns with his winning score.

After a year of absence, the film music concert returns with 'Great Greek Composers'. Besides scores composed by Eleni Karaindrou for Theo Angelopoulos’ films, music of Evanthia Reboutsika is performed by the excellent Brussels Philharmonic.

The WSA Film Music Days present an interesting variety of Talks & Masterclasses. Max Richter, Daniel Pemberton, Austin Wintory and Nainita Desai talk about their careers during a Composers Talk, the music labels Pool Needle and Sonhouse Records celebrate their launch and Natalie Holt presents a Film Music Seminar.
