Valerie Dobbelaere

Valerie Dobbelaere is the founder of Strike A Score, a screen composers agency that both represents Belgian screen composers and promotes EU-based Screen Composers, Film Music Events & Labels. With her agency, she builds bridges between composers and the audiovisual industry, creating opportunities for both established and emerging talent.

Before launching Strike A Score, Valerie spent over a decade at Film Fest Gent and the World Soundtrack Awards, where she coordinated music projects and film music industry activities, from concert productions and masterclasses to international collaborations. During this period, she worked closely with renowned composers including Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Elliot Goldenthal, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Alberto Iglesias, Giorgio Moroder and Alexandre Desplat.

She later expanded her expertise in film and music communications at Post Bills, a Brussels-based PR agency, before founding her own platform dedicated to championing screen composers.
