Rob Lord is an award-winning UK-based film and television composer, known for his diverse and impactful scores across film, television, animation and video games. His work spans genres from comedy and drama to science fiction and horror, showcasing his versatility and creative range.

Rob's film scores include Amazon Studios' dramedy Troop Zero, starring Oscar winners Viola Davis and Allison Janney; comedy features Apartment 12 with Mark Ruffalo and Coffee Wars with Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls); and the sci-fi heist film Slipstream, starring Sean Astin and Vinnie Jones. In the horror genre, his compositions can be heard in Writer’s Retreat and Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud, both featuring Lance Henriksen.

His recent work includes scoring Amazon Studios' comedy How to Date Billy Walsh, starring Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper), Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton), Tanner Buchanan (Cobra Kai), and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead). He also composed for Paramount+'s Buddy Games: Spring Awakening, starring Josh Duhamel (Transformers), Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), and Kevin Dillon (Entourage). Additionally, Rob scored the feature documentary Copa 71 for Westbrook Films/Dogwoof and the Sky series Mission to Burnley. Currently, he has just completed scoring the Amazon Studios dramedy Maintenance Required, starring Katy O'Brian (Love Lies Bleeding, Mission Impossible).
Rob's television credits include the BAFTA and RTS-nominated BBC documentary The Girl Who Talked to Dolphins and the award-winning U.S. sci-fi series RCVR. His work extends into multi-episodic animation series, factual programming, and documentary television. He also created music and sound design for artist Ai Weiwei's landmark exhibition at London’s Royal Academy of Arts.

In the gaming industry, Rob has composed scores for major publishers and developers, including Eidos, Sony, Disney, Sega, Codemasters, Perfect Entertainment, and Microsoft.
Before his career in composition, Rob toured and recorded with renowned bands such as Dodgy, The Primitives, Voice of the Beehive, The Connells, and Paul Oakenfold’s Grace, for whom he wrote the UK hit You're Not Mine. He also led his own bands, Vagabond Joy and Starpower, signed to EMI and Rough Trade, respectively, and released Krautrock-inspired solo work under the name Ausgang, appearing on two Mute Records electronica collections.

Rob holds UK, French, and Irish passports and citizenships and is passionate about storytelling through music, bringing depth and emotion to every project he undertakes.
