Mike Riemenschneider – Agent/Publicist/Producer
Mike Riemenschneider is a founding member of the Filmmusiktage Saxony-
Anhalt (Film Music Days) in Halle, Germany. Since its foundation in 2008, he
has been responsible for the festival with it’s different concerts, Masterclasses
and workshops. With support of the German Film Composer Association
(DEFKOM) he developed 2014 the concept for the German Film Music Award,
the most important prize for German film music composers.
His unreserved interest is in composers, their works and their public
perception. In addition to a large number of well-known film composers from
Germany, he has succeeded in attracting such well-known personalities as
Patrick Doyle, Jeff Beal, Stephen Warbeck, Harold Faltermeyer, Jean-Michel
Bernard, Trevor Jones, Rachel Portman, Laurent Eyquem and John Ottman to
the Film Music Days in Germany.
In 2016 he founded SCOREFLIX, a creative sound network that focuses on the
planning, implementation and production of musical events (concerts,
festivals, etc.). In addition, he supports composers in the acquisition of
commissions and in marketing and PR.
Mike has a background in business administration, worked for various
marketing and PR agencies in Germany and the USA and founded a consulting
company for film marketing and PR in 2003. He supported about 40 films for
numerous film production and distribution companies.
From 2006-2013 he was responsible for the European Animation Masterclass
and created and implemented the "Animation Talent Award" - an
international online competition in which young professionals created their
animated short films based on a specific piece of music. He was the German
project manager for "Cartoon Masters" and "Cartoon Springboard" (2013-
2017) and had the German project management for the "Leadership
Masterclass for European Media Executives"(2006-2008).
