Josy Svajda
Josy is a composer for film & television and a vocalist from Vienna, Austria. Her love for music for film brought her to Los Angeles to study film scoring at UCLA and she went on to work at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions and Bleeding Fingers Music.
Her work has aired on "The Simpsons", the Netflix film "The Package," the American-Ukrainian co-production "The Rising Hawk", and her own feature film "Rot" that was screened at the Nashville Film Festival. Most recently she wrote the score for the critically acclaimed German documentary "Heroes of the Sea" (Helden der Meere), that has won several awards and aired on German television.
Josy’s music is inspired by futuristic as well as archaic, ancient elements, creating musical depth with a touch of mystery and epic builds. She incorporates her vocals in creative ways, informed by traditional and ethnic vocal lines.
