Hans Helewaut

Having enjoyed a musical education at a young age, Hans' first professional music experience was in the eighties with the band "Elisa Waut", together with his sister. At the same time, a passion for film took him to film school, where he discovered that the ideal would be combining the two, film and music.

Following the path of young directors, this lead to scoring for commercials and short movies. In 1999, Hans, together with two partners founded Music And SoundDesign sac , MASDA. A company specializing in sound and music postproduction, located in an old milkfactory. As the company grew very fast, more and more studio's were build. In 2007 MASDA was restructured into two companies, SONICVILLE sound and music, and SONICVILLE dubbing. Besides his own musical work, Hans was artistic director and postproduction supervisor. The company is active in advertising, radio & television, feature film , television and dubbing.

Today Sonicville has more then 25 studio's at their disposal. In 2011 Hans decided to leave the company, to make more time for personal projects, and music.
