I AM DIE HEXEN: Irish Academy Award (2025) and SITGES’-winning (2024) composer, filmmaker, and sound artist from Ireland’s mythic North Coast—the land of giants. From singing in Ballintoy’s limestone amphitheatre at age five, to performing for a commemoration of witches in Ravensburg, I forge sonic archaeology that brings the avant-garde to global audiences.

Mentored by Grammy winning recording engineer Geoff Foster (Björk, Scott Walker, Volker Bertelmann), my work explores folk horror (Fréwaka; You Are Not My Mother) and micro-macro immersive installations (Our Place in Space). My tools include the world’s only charcoal black Apprehension Engine aka “The Nightmare Machine,” Bronze Age horns, quartz, skin drum and bell percussion, death whitstles and keening rituals. The result? Oscar-longlisted works (Lamb; Saul & I; Stigma) and award-winning films (El Hor) that excavate the hidden worlds of our subconscious.
