Timothy Husom
Husom honed his early film music chops with Emperor Norton Records, where he shepherded projects, including the Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides soundtracks. After a successful stint at Rykodisc (before its sale to Warner Brothers), Husom launched Redbird Music, representing independent artists, including Ladytron, Great Northern, Nicole Morier, and Sea Wolf. In 2009, he reinvented his roster with clients like Jóhann Jóhannsson, Dustin O’Halloran, Volker Bertelmann (Hauschka), A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Colin Stetson, Shida Shahabi, and Kreng. “I launched Redbird Music to bridge the gap between movies and the bold new sounds coming from the vanguard of neoclassical composers releasing records around the world," explains Husom.
