Nikki Walsh is the Vice President, Soundtrack & Marketing in the Film Music Department at Universal Pictures. Part of the creative team that helps oversee all music aspects of Universal's films, her primary focus areas are marketing, publicity and awards for Universal's films & soundtracks. She also helps run production, marketing and operations for Universal Pictures' in-house record label, Back Lot Music. Having originally begun her career as an assistant to one of the partners of the Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, she loves meeting new up-and-coming composer talent and putting together ideas & reels for Universal's project slate. She is also very actively involved in the Universal’s Composer Diversity Initiative, which aims to give opportunities to composers traditionally underrepresented. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration Cinema-TV, Emphasis in Marketing and Minor in Music Industry. She’s an active member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (GRAMMYs) and the Society of Composers & Lyricists.
