Michelino Bisceglia born in Belgium to a family of Italian origin already composed the soundtracks for multiple feature films. Some of these films were screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Venice International Film Festival. His soundtrack for the film "Marina" (about the childhood memories of Rocco Granata) won a World Soundtrack Award Public Choice in 2014.

Bisceglia occasionally also arrange, orchestrates, and conducts soundtracks for other film composers all over the world. His contribution to the animated film "Cafard" composed by Hans Helewaut and the feature film “Mother’s Instinct” composed by Frédéric Vercheval, both also won the World Soundtrack Award in 2016 and in 2019 for best Belgian Score.

Bisceglia’s most recent works was for a 10-episode series “Thieves of the wood”, world-wide release by Netflix. Last Year Michelino also finished composing the orchestral score for the animation drama “Charlotte” (with Keira Knightly). This film was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2021. Also last year Bisceglia composed the music for the know exhibition on “Claude Monet Immersive Experience” exposed in dozens of cities worldwide.
Early this year Bisceglia finished the score for the Irish film “My Sailor, My Love” directed by the Golden Globe nominated Finnish director Klaus Härö. At this moment he is working on a new concerto for trumpet and orchestra. And will start to score later this year the soundtrack for the new film “Sleep” by Jan-Willem van Ewijk.

Michelino Bisceglia has worked with many international orchestras. Such as the Brussels Philharmonic, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música and The Japan Symfonia, for which he composed, arranged, orchestrated, and conducted. As a composer and conductor, he recently released the album "Orchestral Works 1", including his first concerto for Oboe and String Orchestra and his personal Adagio for Strings. The recordings feature the highly acclaimed Brussels Chamber Orchestra, the fabulous oboe soloist Piet Van Bockstal and the AMK Choir. At this moment he is working on a concerto for trumpet and orchestra.

Michelino Bisceglia is also known as a jazz pianist. As a soloist and sideman, he recorded dozens of records for famous labels like RCA Viktor, Blue Note, Enja. Bisceglia was nominated twice as best Belgian jazz musician of the year 1997 and 1999 and has performed on numerous international jazz festivals with his own jazz trio. At this moment he is composing and producing a new album with his best friend and composer Hans Mullens This new project called “Svínhunder” is an experimental playground for piano, an acoustic or electric bass line combined with sound design, electronics, and strings orchestra.
