Diego Baldenweg with Nora Baldenweg & Lionel Baldenweg are a multi award-winning composer team. The siblings were born in Switzerland and grew up in Australia. They are a unique voice in film music with a talent to compose compelling music in different styles for different genres. Their critically acclaimed scores range from classical symphonic, hybrid orchestral, choral, jazzy to cutting edge modern electronic.

They have composed original scores for numerous films such as the box office hit The Little Witch (Disney / Studiocanal), the international remake of Til Schweiger’s German box office hit Head Full of Honey (Warner Bros USA) starring Nick Nolte, Matt Dillon & Emily Mortimer, the Oscar nominated short La femme et le TGV starring Jane Birkin, or the bio-pic The Performer Zwingli for which they received a “World Soundtrack Awards” nomination for “Score of the Year” (Public Choice). In 2024, they were nominated for “Score of the Year” (Movie Music UK Awards) for their score to the US/Irish Thriller/Western In the Land of Saints and Sinners (Samuel Goldwyn / Netflix) directed by Academy Nominee Robert Lorenz and starring Liam Neeson, Kerry Condon and Ciaràn Hinds.

They have further composed the entire music to the Australian TV series Born to Spy (ABC/BBC), Itch (ABC/BBC), and The Unlisted (ABC/Netflix), which each earned them an Australian Academy nomination for “Best Original Score in TV”.

The Baldenwegs have been working together since 20 years and are respected for their collaborative spirit and strong sense of dramaturgy. They always bring an open minded approach to projects and have the ability to compose unique and convincing scores. They have built up a strong network of music specialists, acclaimed musicians, top orchestras and conductors including maestro David Zinman, Paavo Järvi, Kevin Griffiths, Pepe Lienhard, Roberto González-Monjas, Daniel Hope and Dirk Brossé.

Under the name GREAT GARBO they have also composed music for over 350 international campaigns for brands such as Mastercard, Sony, or Dove (3rd most viewed online campaign of all time in 2014).

The Baldenwegs have won numerous awards and their music has been played in concert halls and on radio stations including Swiss National Radio, Klassik Radio and BBC Radio 3
