Growing up in a classical music environment, she holds a Piano Diploma with honours and she is also a graduate of Advanced Theory, with degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Orchestration and Music Composition Diploma. She has worked as editor in chief for classicalmusic.gr portal and has also been a music editor for numerous greek music magazines. For the past 19 years she has been working as as a production manager, focus on film music events for Friends of Music Society at Megaron - Athens Concert Hall. Mesmerized by silent films and the idea of creating an overall musical world for each film and an audiovisual result that you couldn’t have heard back in the silent era, she has been dealing with contemporary practices for their musical re-scoring and she has worked as music editor and compiler of silent film screenings for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Silent Film Festival at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in Athens, Greece. She has given lectures on history of film music, the invasion of pop culture into film scoring, on re-scoring silent films and moderated panels with Abel Korzeniowski, Cliff Martinez, Yann Tiersen and more. Since 2008, she is devoted to spreading the love for film music and discovering new film composers, through her personal 2-hour radio show City Lights. She is the founder and editor in chief of the film music site Kinetophone.com and recently launched Kinetophone Live, a platform specializing on live film music projects (concerts, masterclasses, events). She is an IFMCA (International Film Music Critics Association) member and PR, Jury Member of the Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition and collaborator of FMF Krakow, WSA Gent, Soundtrack Cologne, MOSMA and Athens International Film Festival. The last 2 years she is the Head of Industry and co-programmer of Film Music Prague Festival
