Dmitri Golovko
Dmitri Golovko's music is often described as propulsive, energetic, and rousing, reflecting his diverse experience across action, horror, comedy, and drama. This breadth has allowed him to cultivate a versatile style, infusing each project with a distinct personality. His compositions consistently engage audiences and stir emotions, whether achieved through a potent melodic hook or dynamic, percussive interplay of electronic and acoustic textures.
Dmitri started composing music at an early age with a background in Percussion and Piano. But having always had an infatuation with films, games and storytelling he went on to study filmmaking at Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts. That didn’t last long however, as he realised he was much more drawn to the post production process, and since abandoning his studies in filmmaking he’s gone on to pursue a career in music.
Now, for almost two decades he’s been creating soundtracks for feature films, documentaries, TV shows, commercials and video-games. Some of his previous work includes the feature film score to “War Machine” (2026) starring Alan Ritchson which debuted at number 1 worldwide on Netflix, the true-crime horror film "Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism" (2023), which earned him a nomination for Best Film Score at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, the acclaimed modern western “Red Hill” (2010), additional music to “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” (2017) starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as co-composing the scores to acclaimed series’ "The Gloaming" (2020) and “Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries” (2019 -2021).
With a constantly expanding credit list, he’s become an evolving talent whose music has been attached to a large number of projects. Dmitri has worked with production companies, directors and advertising agencies from across the globe; from Los Angeles to Sydney, to Berlin. Music and storytelling are his passions, and so he tackles every new project and opportunity with unbridled energy and enthusiasm.
