Report 11 Dec 2017
The 17th edition was marvelous thanks to our amazing guests Terence Blanchard, David Shire and Joe Kraemer and our fantastic orchestra Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Maestro Dirk Brossé. We are already looking forward to the 18th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards on Wednesday 17 October 2018!

Enjoy some of the epic performances of the 17th World Soundtrack Awards:

Our guest of honour, Terence Blanchard, performed his moving score for the Spike Lee documentary 'When the Levees Broke'.

Old film, new talent! Gavin Brivik received the SABAM Award for the most Original Composition by a Young International Composer for his score for Italian cult film 'Il conformista' by Bernardo Bertolucci.

Joe Kraemer proved to be quite the Discovery last year. This year, he returned with his score for 'Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation'. Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé performs his 'Solomon Lane's Theme'.

Who remembers this magical moment? David Shire, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award 2017, performs his theme for 'The Conversation' by Francis Ford Coppola.

Next year the World Soundtrack Awards will take place on Wednesday 17 October 2018! Look forward to some more wonderful performances and magical moments next year!
