The music Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Dirk Brossé, performed was composed by five outstanding Korean composers: Cho Young-wuk, Lee Byeong-woo, Jung Jae-il (Squid Game, Parasite, Okja), Nam Hye-Seung (Mr. Sunshine), Kim Soo-chul (Sopyonje) and Mowg (Burning). Cho Young-wuk (Oldboy, The Handmaiden), the go-to composer of Park Chan-wook, and Lee Byeong-woo who worked with Bong Joon-ho on Mother and The Host will even be present at the concert themselves. Moreover, Lee Byeong-woo will play the guitar for us. It was a magical evening.

The music of these world-renowned Korean was performed by a world-renowned orchestra: Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Maestro Dirk Brossé. Furthermore, they can count on the expertise of gifted soloists such as concertmaster and violinist Otto Derolez, cellist Karel Steylaerts, altviolinist Mihai Cocea and pianist Anastasia Goldberg. Composer Lee Byeong-woo will play the guitar. Taegŭm virtuoso Hyelim Kim also joined the orchestra for “Beyond the Years” from Sopyonje.
