Ennio Morricone announced that he will embark on large-scale World tour in 2016, with a completely new program to mark his 60-year Anniversary as a professional composer and conductor.

“Next year I will perform a whole new program with new highlights, which I am already working on. Of course there will always be the classic pieces from the great Sergio Leone westerns and The Mission. But overall the experience will be different this time. I plan to include a suite for example with pieces of music, which I composed for 7 different movies which all won Oscars!”

The announcement follows a hugely successful European arena tour which saw the Maestro perform to over 150,000 audience members in 22 European cities and Antwerp is one of them!

Ennio Morricone has composed over 500 scores for cinema and television as well as over 100 absolute music works and is the only film composer in history to have received the honorary Academy Award for his lifetime achievement. Highlights include his scores for Once Upon a Time in the West, One Upon a time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, The Untouchables, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso, The Best Offer, etc. Morricone’s score for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly holds the number two position in the Top 200 ranking of best film soundtracks ever composed.

On February 20th 2016 Ennio Morricone will conduct his ‘60 Years Of Music’ at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. Tickets for this unique concert are now available.
