Edition 2013
The annual Film Music Seminar - organised by Film Fest Gent and the School of Arts (Hogeschool Gent) - is given a festive twist on the occasion of Film Fest Gent's 40th anniversary. Dr Martine Huvenne, musicologist and professor of film music at the School of Arts is once again curator of the seminar.
In the morning, music director and conductor Dirk Brossé, who has a long-standing collaboration with the festival and conducts the WSA concert, will talk to composer Frédéric Devreese. The afternoon programme of the seminar will focus on the evolving collaboration between composer and director with Oscar winners Dario Marianelli (Anna Karenina) and Rachel Portman (Chocolat).
