During the Composer's Talks, we give a composer the time and space to talk in depth about their oeuvre. Multi-award-winning Icelandic composer and this year’s WSA Guest of Honour Hildur Guðnadóttir discusses the highlights of her career, her sources of inspiration, and the working process behind her renowned body of work.
Icelandic composer and multi-instrumentalist Hildur Guðnadóttir is celebrated for her atmospheric soundscapes for acclaimed projects like Joker (2019) and Chernobyl (2019). She is nominated for the World Soundtrack Awards in the category of Film Composer of the Year with her gothic punk score for The Bride! (2026), her jazzy vocal tracks for Hedda (2025), and raging mammoth horn solos for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026), illustrating the versatility of her oeuvre.
Accredited visitors can attend this event for free, without prior registration. Other visitors are required to present a ticket.
