On 14 October 2006, the international film music scene gathers in Ghent for the 6th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards, the prestigious film music prizes of Film Fest Gent.
The sixt edition of the World Soundtrack Awards on 14 October promises to be an outstanding event for film and music lovers. The world's most renowned film music composers wil attend the presentation of the World Soundtrack Awards and admire music by the featured composers.
The Flemish Radio Orchestra (VRO), conducted by Dirk Brossé, will preform music by Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles & Lost), Peer Raben (Querelle, Die Sehnsucht der Veronika Voss, Lola, Berlin Alexanderplatz, Bismarck & 2046), Piet Goddaer (Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek) and John Powell, who wil preform as a soloist for his own music (Ice Age: The Meltdown, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Bourne Identity, Endurance, X-Men 3 & Two Weeks Notice).
