Students at the WSA Film Music Days
What are the WSA Film Music Days?
In short, there are two parts to the WSA Film Music Days. On the one hand, there are the concerts. This year, we have: our Videodroom programme, the thematic film music concert PRESS PLAY: Music in Games, and of course the World Soundtrack Awards Gala & Concert.
On the other hand, there is the WSA Industry Programme. This networking event is for both young and established international film (music) professionals to gain insight into new developments, to be part of inspiring discussions and to meet colleagues in the field. The yearly gathering of composers, directors, producers, sound professionals, sound designers, and students in the area of cinema and television is the ideal opportunity to celebrate the art of film music, network, learn and scrutinize the current state of the industry.
For students especially this can be a great opportunity to make new connections and broaden horizons. One day specifically, Thursday 19 October 2023, is tailored to students: a unique industry programme targeted towards future film & film music professionals. Our masterclasses, workshops and matchmaking give students the opportunity to learn, listen and network.
The complete programme will be announced on mid-September 2023.

Student Matchmaking
Apart from access to the talks and masterclasses in our Industry Programme, students can sign up to a student-only matchmaking event, that takes place on 19 October 2023. Based on their profiles, we match (film) music students to film or game development students. This way, we hope to help give wings to new projects. As this matchmaking is tailored to each student, it's necessary that students sign up before the 30th of September.
Are you a film student, a (film) music student or a game development student and would you like to join us in October 2023? You can register for the matchmaking session here.

Are you a film student who can't get enough?
As a filmstudent of KASK, LUCA School of Arts C-mine, LUCA School of Arts Narafi, LUCA School of Arts Sint-Lukas or RITCS you can apply for an accreditation for the whole festival. For €25 you have - besides access to press screenings - also access to our film (music) industry activities. You can apply from mid september 2023 through your personal MyFFG-account.
