When do you announce the nominees?
- The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award is revealed in spring.
- The nominees for the following WSAwards are announced mid-August: Film Composer of the Year; Television Composer of the Year; Best Original Song.
- The nominees for the following WSAwards are announced mid-September: Discovery of the Year; Public Choice Award; Game Music Award; Best Original Score for a Belgian Production; Sabam Award for Best Original Composition by a Young Composer.

Can I vote for any of the Awards?
Everyone can vote for the Public Choice Award and the Game Music Award.
Voting members of the Academy can vote for:
- Film Composer of the Year
- Best Original Song
- Television Composer of the Year
The Advisory & Executive Board can vote for:
- Discovery of the Year
- Best Original Score for a Belgian Production
The Sabam Award for Best Composition by a Young Composer is presented to the winner of the WSA Film Music Composition Contest by a select jury of music professionals chaired by Dirk Brossé.
If you are a composer or another film music professional, you can join the World Soundtrack Academy.
