WSA 2026
During the annual WSA Ceremony & Concert, Brussels Philharmonic and Maestro Dirk Brossé bring scores by the Guest of Honour and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient to life on stage. While Trevor Jones reflects on his decades-spanning career, Hildur Guðnadóttir presents her work through world premiere live performances of music from Joker (2019) and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026).
Alongside the concert, three days of masterclasses, talks, workshops and matchmaking events bring composers, directors, and industry professionals together. More than ever, the close collaboration between the director and composer is put in the spotlight. Director Lukas Dhont, composer Valentin Hadjadj and music supervisor Pierre-Marie Dru come together to talk about their creative collaboration on the musical universe for Coward (2026). Composer Volker Bertelmann and director Edward Berger also discuss their Oscar-winning collaborations. Furthermore, the programme features workshops with Television Composer of the Year Jeff Russo (among others), and Composer’s Talks featuring Hildur Guðnadóttir and Trevor Jones, as well as the nominees.
The European Composer & Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) received this year’s WSA Industry Award from Film Fest Gent and the World Soundtrack Academy, recognizing their work in fostering a more fair and transparent screen music industry.
