With this WSAcademy Newsletter we kick off the 2026 World Soundtrack Awards season. A year packed with new screen music to discover, culminating in the WSA Film Music Days, from 8 up until 10 October 2026. Here below you can read all about the upcoming submission process and the WSA Competition Contest, and discover a newly curated Wednesday Waves playlist.

We noticed that you haven't renewed your WSAcademy membership for 2026. If you would like to stay a member of this vibrant community, please register before 15 June. You can do so by logging in to your personal MyFFG account, completing this form and paying the membership fee. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at info@worldsoundtrackawards.com.

As an Academy member, you can submit your own scores or those you love for consideration. To get you started, we've put down the essentials:

• Submissions will be open from 15 April until 15 June.
• Only academy members can submit scores for 4 categories: Film Composer of the Year, Television Composer of the Year, Best Original Song and the WSA Game Music Award.
• WSAcademy membership is not required to submit for the categories Discovery of the Year and Belgian Film Composer of the Year. There is a registration fee. However, eligible composers who are members of the WSAcademy are waived from this fee.
• The eligibility period for this edition: from 16 June 2025 up until 15 June 2026.
