Hildur Guðnadóttir joins Icelandic band múm @WSA Film Music Days

9 October 2026

Together with art centre VIERNULVIER, we welcome Icelandic indiepop experimentalists múm to rescore the quietly beautiful Canadian cult classic La vie rêvée. During their performance on Oct. 9, they will be joined on stage by a long time friend: composer, cellist and WSA Guest of Honour Hildur Guðnadóttir. This concert, and the Nominees Celebration Reception afterwards, are inlcluded in the Industry Packages.

Finalists Composition Contest announced

With their rescore for an excerpt from Ratched, Yeakun Yoo, Lidia Pozo Pérez and Xabier Doural García convinced the jury of their powerful musical vision. The winner of the WSAward for Best Original Composition by a Young Composer Powered by Vienna Synchron Stage will be announced during the WSA Ceremony on 10 October.

Two more weeks to vote for the 26th WSAwards

As a WSAcademy member you play an important role in te recognition of established and young talent. Until 30 July, you can cast your vote in no less than three categories: Film Composer of the Year, Television Composer of the Year and Best Original Song.
