WORLD SOUNDTRACK AWARDS

Film Fest Gent is happy to present you the VIP Music Industry Packages for 2019. The festival will again be dedicated to film music and its composers with an elaborative film music programme and many networking opportunities. As a film music professional, you have the opportunity to experience the WSAwards in a unique way.

How to apply

Film Music professionals can apply to participate in the film music industry programme by filling in the application form here below and sending it together with CV, biography and/or filmography before 13/09/2019. If files are too large you can always send them to Sophie Joos, sophie@filmfestival.be via wetransfer.

Please note that places are limited and that Film Fest Gent reserves the right to decline applications.

We are happy to work out special packages for groups and schools. For all requests, contact Sophie at the guest office: sophie@filmfestival.be

Packages include

  • Transportation Brussels Airport / Hotel / Brussels Airport
  • Accommodation in one of the high-class official festival hotels
  • Festival accreditation (access to the press and industry film screenings)
  • VIP participation to the music programme of the festival (see programme below)

Moor Mother & The London Contemporary Orchestra - "The Great Bailout"

20:00 MOOR MOTHER & THE LONDON CONTEMPORARY ORCHESTRA present 'The Great Bailout' at Kunstencentrum Vooruit, Gent

For ‘The Great Bailout’ Moor Mother has called in the support of the London Contemporary Orchestra. This world-class ensemble has worked with the likes of Radiohead (on ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’), Frank Ocean, Beck, Mica Levi (During VIDEODROOM live on stage with Curl), William Basinski and Steve Reich. The LCO has contributed to the soundtracks of acclaimed films such as ‘Phantom Thread’, ‘You Were Never Really Here’, ‘Suspiria’ and ‘There Will Be Blood’. Be the first in Belgium to witness this unique collaboration.

19h30 - HOLLYWOOD NIGHTMARES - scary symphonic scores

We’ll present you ‘Hollywood Nightmares: Scary Symphonic Scores’. Scary symphonic scores such as Dracula, King Kong, Mary Reilly, Silence of the Lambs, Bride of Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde will be performed by Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé and accompanied by film excerpts onto the big screen.

All music is performed live by Brussels Philharmonic conducted by maestro Dirk Brossé.

21h30 - WSAwards Celebration Networking Reception

World Soundtrack Awards Celebration Reception with food and drinks. Attended by the WSA performing artists, nominees and many other film music professionals.
