Application for a Film Fest Ghent 2020 accreditation
World Soundtrack Awards

23 Oct 2021

Journalists and professionals who want to attend the next festival, can apply here for an accreditation from 1 September until 1 October 2020.

For several months now, we have found ourselves in a different reality: we are facing an unprecedented global health crisis and have witnessed the tremendous damage caused by it. Yet preparations for the 47th edition of Film Fest Ghent are in full swing.

The film industry worldwide has been hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 crisis. Cinemas have closed, film projects have been shut down, talent has become unemployed. Even though the online (film) offer was large, we are all looking forward to state-of-the-art screenings of new films on the big screen, to the intensity of the collective film experience, to meetings among filmmakers, professionals, students, and the public.

That is why we are doing everything we can to present the coming festival live as much as possible in safe conditions. We are doing everything in our power to receive our audience and our guests in the real film theatre.

And thus, once more we offer the press and film professionals the opportunity to apply for an accreditation to be able to follow the programme.

As the capacity will be very limited this year, access to public screenings is not possible this edition. In order to compensate for this, we will be organizing press & industry screenings in Kinepolis all day long. You may go there with your pass from 9 am to the late evening film to enjoy a selection from the programme. You will be able to see every competition film and every film with a Belgian distributor, as well as a selection from the non-distributed (in the Belgium) films. This programme is only accessible to accredited attendees.

The pass will also give you access to the Press & Industry Office in Kinepolis and to all press & industry events such as the film and film music masterclasses and panels.

Additionally, part of the festival program will also be available to accredited attendees via an online video library (in cooperation with
