Encouraged by last autumn's success, the WSA will host several industry-related events to provide an opportunity for music film professionals to gather together to exchange, learn, debate and generally chew over the fat about the music film industry.
Building on last year's success, several masterclasses and panels will run throughout the events, to be facilitated by selected guest speakers and music film industry experts.
These events are open to both early and established international film and music professionals, who wish to discuss what's current in the international film music industry. It also creates an excellent learning space for students to absorb new approaches taken to production, absorb composition techniques and explore discussions about the relationship between film composer and director. During these sessions, there will be a Q&A and, over a bite to eat, professionals can also meet and speak about their ideas or vision on film music.
Last year’s WSA Industry Day and Film Music Seminar were well-received and positively greeted with full enthusiasm by its attendees. The programme was packed full with masterclasses and panels covering a wide range of topics by numerous professionals working in different fields in the film music industry. This year's programme will be soon be launched on our website. Watch this space!
