Every year, Film Fest Gent and World Soundtrack Awards offer the chance to young, enthousiastic interns to join the festival crew and experience the festival from behind the scenes. We are currently looking for an intern for the music department.
The music department of Film Fest Gent is responsible for all music related events during the festival: concerts, the organisation of the World Soundtrack Awards, educational projects, the film music seminar, industry events and much more. We are looking for a multi-talented intern to join the team to help organize these events, plus coordinate the online and social media outlets of WSA.
What will you be doing?
Your job will be very divers:
-Support the coordinator during the preparations of the online WSA voting
-Production and public relations for the music related events (film music seminar, Industry Day, press conference, Board Meeting etc.)
-Follow up of te composition contest
-Practical follow up of the film music seminar, industry related events
-Content creation for the website, newsletter and social media
Who are we looking for?
-You are hands-on, autonomous but also a team player
-You work systematically and accurately
-You know how to set up and implement a planning
-You 'know' social media
-You are not afraid to pick up a phone and call
-You are flexible and resistant to stress (keep in mind, the workload during the festival can get pretty high)
-You speak Dutch and English, other languages are a plus
-You are into music, (music)production and would like to work in the cultural field
-You are able to provide your own temporary residence in Ghent
Work schedule: part time from June until the end of August 2016, full time during September-October 2016
It is an unpaid internship but you will get loads of interesting work experience at the biggest film fest in Belgium in return.
