Marie Sabbah attended classical music studies at the Dijon Regional Academy of Music as well as a jazz training at the CIM - International Academy of Music in Paris. She also graduated a Master's Degree in musicology at University of Paris VIII. After teaching music, Marie became a musical copyist in all styles, before specializing in film scores. The quality of her "by ear" copying led her to collaborate with such prestigious and demanding composers as Gabriel Yared, Philippe Sarde, Georges Delerue and Ennio Morricone.
In 1993, Marie Sabbah founded Diesis Music and worked regularly with drum composer Steve Shehan. She soon promoted the jazz artists Marc Copland, Bruce Dunlap and Peter Herbert. At the same time, she wrote arrangements and orchestrations performed by singer Wilhelmenia Fernandez with the Ile-de-France National Orchestra. In 1996 she started as film composer's agent first with Pierre Adenot, Cyrille Aufort, Christophe La Pinta and many others. After five years of collaboration in Film Music Services, she founded Marie Sabbah Agency, offering music supervision as well as executive music production, copyright control and music publishing catalogues for film producers all over the world.
