Film Fest Gent is based in Ghent and relies on a fixed team of nine staff members. Closer to the festival, the team expands to 50 staff members and 250 volunteers. Film Fest Gent has an open and informal business culture based on collaboration and respect. We believe in the durability and strength of a diverse team.

When is the next edition of the festival?
The 51st edition of Film Fest Gent runs from 8-19 October 2024 at different locations in the city of Ghent. The WSA Film Music Days run from 15-17 October 2024.

The complete programme of the 51st edition of Film Fest Gent will be announced in September 2024.

How can I keep up to date with any festival news?
With Film Fest Gent’s weekly digital newsletter (at the moment only in Dutch), you can keep up to date with film news all year round. This includes news about our activities and, of course, highlights of the festival. During the film festival, we keep you posted daily.

Where can I pick up a programme guide?
From the end of September onwards, you can find a programme guide at all our festival locations, at the tourist information centre Ghent and at Library De Krook. Programme guides will also be distributed in other cities. You can also have a look at our programme guides online or request them. Do you feel like the programme guide should be available somewhere else, too? Let us know at info@filmfestival.be.

When do tickets go on sale?
The entire festival programme will be announced in September. The ticket sale starts the same day on our website. From that moment, you can buy your tickets at Counter Tickets Ghent as well. During the festival, you can also buy tickets at the box offices at our festival locations.

If there are any tickets left on the day of the screening, you can buy one at the box office of the venue where the film will be playing. The register opens half an hour prior to the start of the screening.

Which locations have wheelchair access?
All festival locations are at least partially wheelchair accessible. In some cases with the help of our staff.
Kinepolis - Lift available to the left of the Kinepolis main entrance. All auditoriums are accessible by wheelchair.
MIRY Concertzaal - Accessible with help from the staff.
Sphinx Cinema - Auditoriums 1 and 3 are easily accessible with non-electrical wheelchairs, with help from the staff. Please inform us in advance via tickets@filmfestival.be.Studio Skoop - The emergency exit and ramp at the entrance are accessible to physically challenged visitors (about six stairs). Auditorium 2 is not accessible by wheelchair, auditorium 1 is only accessible with non-electrical wheelchairs.
